
Tucson, AZ.- The pedestrian who was hospitalized with severe injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Tucson on Saturday evening has succumbed to his injuries.
According to a report by the Tucson Police Department, the hit-and-run accident happened in the area of Roger and Flowing Wells roads at around 6 p.m. on November 22, 2025.
According to a preliminary investigation, the pedestrian, identified as Hans Fredrick Morton, 65, was trying to walk across Roger Road when he was hit by a vehicle traveling westbound. The driver reportedly stopped briefly to check on the pedestrian, but then got back into the vehicle and fled the scene.
The Tucson Fire Department crews responded to the scene and attended to Morton, who was then transported to Banner University Medical Center with major injuries. He was later declared deceased at the hospital.
The Tucson Police Department identified the suspect vehicle as a red 2006 Dodge Durango and the driver was arrested on Tuesday, November 25. The suspect, identified as Stephan Jud Semak, 54, turned himself in and was detained at the Pima County Adult Detention Complex on charges of failure to remain at the scene of a fatal accident.
