Compton, CA. – A driver hit and injured a child, then fled the scene Saturday night near an intersection in Compton, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department reported.
The incident occurred around 9 p.m. at Queensdale and Bradfield avenues.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and took the child to the hospital. The toddler is expected to survive.
Authorities are investigating to determine the circumstances that led to the accident.
Police interviewed several witnesses and are looking for possible home security video to help find the suspected car and driver.
