Tucson police reported that a Toyota Prius was traveling eastbound on Golf Links Road when it tried to turn left at the intersection and collided with a westbound motorcyclist

Tucson, AZ.– A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a vehicle at an intersection in Tucson on Monday, according to Tucson police.
The crash occurred near Golf Links and Harrison roads on Monday, October 6.
Tucson police reported that a Toyota Prius was traveling eastbound on Golf Links Road when it tried to turn left at the intersection and collided with a westbound motorcyclist.
The motorcyclist, identified as Thomas E. Vargas, 33, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Prius stayed at the scene and was not suspected of impairment.
According to TPD, failure to yield by the Prius driver is believed to have contributed to the collision.
The incident remains under investigation.
