Tucson, AZ.- A woman died weeks after being involved in a crash in Tucson in September, according to the Tucson Police Department.
The wreck happened near East 22nd Street and South Tucson Boulevard on June 20.
According to the TPD, Teresa Rojo Almeida, 78, was driving on 22nd Street when her vehicle collided with another vehicle.
The impact sent both vehicles crashing into palm trees in the median.
Almeida was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased on October 1.
The other driver was not hurt in the collision.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
According to the police, impairment was not suspected to have been a factor in the accident.
The Tucson Police Department is conducting an investigation into the accident.
