Tempe, AZ – At least one person was injured in an early Thursday morning collision that took place in Tempe, according to the officials with the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The accident was reported at about 5:45 a.m. March 5, on the transition ramp to southbound Loop 101 from eastbound Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway.
Acording to AZDPS, two vehicles were involved in the accident, whose cause was not immediately established. A truck involved in the accident reportedly rolled over due to the impact of the collision.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene a few minutes later and assessed the individuals involved in the accident.
AZDPS reported that at least one person person was injured in the accident. Specific details on the condition of the patient were not immediately provided.
Authorities shut down both the northbound and southbound onramps to Loop 101 from eastbound Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway as they investigated and cleared the scene.
An investigation to determine the exact cause of the collision is still ongoing.
