Shayanne Cicherski, 18, was driving a car southbound on Espanola Road when he failed to stop at the intersection and slammed into a semi-truck traveling west

Spokane County, WA. – The two teens who died after being involved in a collision with a big rig in Spokane County last week on Wednesday have been identified.
The wreck took place in the area of Highway 2 and Wood Road on Wednesday, January 8.
According to a report by the Washington State Patrol, Shayanne Cicherski, 18, was driving a car southbound on Espanola Road when he failed to stop at the intersection and slammed into a semi-truck traveling west.
The car was stuck beneath the big rig after the crash.
Cicherski and his two teenage passengers were taken to hospital with critical injuries.
On Friday, January 10, the Spokane County Medical Examiner's Office reported that one of the passengers, identified as Sweeny Holt-Stearns, 16, had died of the injuries at the hospital.
The medical examiner also confirmed on Monday that Cicherski had succumbed to his injuries.
The operator of the big rig was not hurt.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
