Woman Dies in San Joaquin County Crash on Highway 99 near Jack Tone Road

County, CA.- A woman was killed in a traffic accident that occurred in on Thursday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The wreck took place at about 10:30 p.m. March 6, on , north of Jack Tone Road.

According to the CHP, a GMC Sierra, a Ford Escape, and a Freightliner were involved in the accident.

The Sierra was reportedly speeding in the area when it slammed into the left rear of the Escape.

After colliding with the Ford, the Sierra then slammed into the back of the big rig.

The driver of the Ford, a 63-year-old woman, was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

The operator of the Sierra, a 35-year-old man, was suspected of DUI.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
