Steven Lee McHenry Killed in Poway Motorcycle Collision at Midland Road and Somerset Road
Poway, California (March 26, 2022) – 59-year-old Steven Lee McHenry has been identified by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office as the motorcyclist who died after being struck by a suspected DUI driver on Friday night in Poway.
The accident was reported at around 10:34 p.m. at the intersection of Midland Road and Somerset Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
McHenry was parked along the right side of the roadway when he was rear-ended by a northbound sedan driven by 22-year-old Astha Rajyaguru.
The motorcyclist was killed in the accident.
Rajyaguru was arrested on suspicion of DUI and was booked at the Las Colinas Detention Facility, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
