Spokane County, WA – A woman was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident that took place in Spokane County on Thursday morning.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, the accident was reported at about 7:55 a.m. September 24, on Percival Avenue near N. Guinevere Drive.
Investigations revealed that a Subaru was traveling eastbound on Percival Avenue when it struck a woman in the roadway. The woman is suspected to have been picking something from the roadway when she was hit.
Deputies and emergency crews with the Spokane County Fire Distict 9 responded to the scene and helped the involved parties.
Medics performed life-saving measures on the pedestrian, before she was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
The victim was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. Her identity was not immediately released.
The woman driving the Subaru and two minors riding as her passengers, were not injured and remained at the scene.
According to investigators, speed and impairment were not suspected to be factors in the accident.
The Spokane County Traffic Unit Investigators are still working to ascertain the factors of the collision.
