South Hill, WA – One person was killed in a crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle in South Hill on Wednesday afternoon, according to a report by the Central Pierce Fire & Rescue Division.
At around 4:14 p.m. August 19, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of an accident in area of 144th Street East and 94th Avenue East.
According to the investigators, a vehicle collided with a person on a motorcycle near the intersection. Investigations were still ongoing to establish what exactly led up to the accident.
Fire crews arrived at the scene and performed CPR on the motorcyclist, who was found in critical condition.
Despite efforts by the medics, the rider succumbed to their injuries.
The deceased motorcyclist was not immediately identified by the authorities.
Traffic near the intersection was impacted for an unspecified duration as a result of the accident.
The authorities are working to determine the cause of the collision and additional details are expected to be released.
