Solano County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on I-780 at Glen Cove Road

The crash happened at about 7:30 a.m. on the eastbound 780 Freeway near the Glen Cove Parkway off-ramp.

Solano County, CA – A 64-year-old motorcyclist died Wednesday morning after colliding with a pickup truck on Interstate 780 in Vallejo, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at about 7:30 a.m. on eastbound 780 Freeway near the Glen Cove Parkway off-ramp, and involved a Honda Fury motorcycle and a Ford F-150.

CHP said the motorcycle struck the pickup’s left rear portion.

The motorcyclist, a Santa Rosa resident, was taken to a hospital for treatment but later died from his injuries. The name of the deceased rider has not been released.

Authorities said alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the collision.

All eastbound lanes of Interstate 780 were blocked while CHP officers investigated the collision. The roadway has since reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
