Simi Valley, CA – A woman was hit and killed by a train on Thursday evening in Simi Valley, according to a report by the Simi Valley Police Department.
Shortly before 6 p.m. on June 4, police were called to the scene of a collision near Sycamore Drive and Los Angeles Avenue.
Initial reports indicate that an Amtrak train hit a female pedestrian on the tracks near the intersection. Authorities were still trying to figure how the accident happened.
Officers from the Simi Valley Police Department responded to the scene and located the victim on the tracks.
The woman was declared deceased at the scene. Her identity was not immediately released.
