Richmond, CA.- A UPS worker was killed in a job-related accident in Richmond on Sunday, according to the Richmond Police Department.
The incident took place in the 1600 block of Atlas Road on Sunday, September 21.
According to investigators, the worker was loading packages into a cargo trailer when multiple packages came down and crushed her.
A co-worker was the first to discover the incident and immediately contacted the authorities.
Despite efforts by medics to save her, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
She was identified by a family member as Shelma Reyna Guerrero, 43, of Richmond.
The Cal/OSHA is conducting an investigation into the incident
