According to the Seattle Police Department, around 8 a.m. on June 15, 2026, emergency personnel responded to 47th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Wildwood Place after they were notified about a collision involving a cyclist.

Seattle, WA – A female cyclist is dead after she was struck by a box truck Monday morning near an intersection in the Fauntleroy neighborhood of West Seattle.
According to the Seattle Police Department, around 8 a.m. on June 15, 2026, emergency personnel responded to 47th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Wildwood Place after they were notified about a collision involving a cyclist.
An initial investigation revealed that a woman was riding her bicycle east on Wildwood when she lost balance and hit a parked car on the side of the road. The cyclist veered back into the eastbound lane and into the path of a box truck.
The woman was then struck by the truck and died at the scene.
The truck driver was evaluated at the scene for impairment, but did not show any signs.
Wildwood Place between 47th Avenue and Fauntleroy Way Southwest remained closed as authorities worked the scene.
