Seattle, WA – One person died in a traffic collision involving a semi-truck that happened on Wednesday on State Route 18 in Seattle, the Washington State Department of Transportation reported.
The wreck occurred around noon, May 27, on eastbound and westbound SR-18 east of Issaquah-Hobart Road near milepost 22.
First responders from Eastside Fire and Rescue found a semi-truck and a car involved in the accident.
One person was treated at the scene but later died from their injuries.
SR-18 was closed in both directions for hours following the collision. All lanes were back open around 4 p.m.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
