The deadly car crash was reported at around 3:36 p.m. on March 28 on State Route 97 near milepost 6

Sherman County, OR – The Oregon State Police has identified a victim killed in a three-vehicle collision on Highway 97 in Sherman County last week Friday afternoon as Satwant Singh, 33, of Yuba City (CA).
The deadly car crash was reported at around 3:36 p.m. on March 28 on State Route 97 near milepost 6.
The incident happened when a southbound Kenworth commecial motor vehicle and trailer operated by Singh failed to negotiate a curve, entered the northbound lane, and collided nearly head-on with a northbound Peterbilt commercial motor vehicle and trailer driven by Francisco Sandoval, 65, of Snohomish (WA).
The southbound Kenworth then struck a northbound GMC 3500, operated by Shawn Hutchinson, 63, of Wilton (CA), in a secondary collision. The collision caused both commercial motor vehicles to catch fire.
Singh was pronounced dead at the crash site.
A passenger in the Kenworth, Rajvir Singh, 31, of Yuba City (CA), was seriously injured and transported to an area hospital.
Sandoval suffered reported minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Hutchinson sustained minor injuries and was rushed to an area hospital.
The highway was impacted for approximately seven hours during the on-scene investigation.
