San Luis Obispo, CA – An investigation is underway into an accident that left several people injured on Friday afternoon in San Luis Obispo.
According to the California Higwhay Patrol, the multi-vehicle accident was reported just before 4 p.m. July 10, on Highway 101 on the Cuesta Grade.
Investigations revealed that two vehicles collided head-on in the northbound lanes of Highway 101 under unclear circumstances. A third vehicle then slammed into the rear of one of the vehicles shortly after.
Three ambulances were requested for multiple parties injured in the incident. There was no update on the number of those hurt and the extent of their injuries.
The California Highway Patrol is still working to find out what led up to the incident.
