San Jose, CA – Minor injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision involving a possible sewage tanker Sunday morning on Highway 101 in San Jose.
According to California Highway Patrol logs, the wreck was reported around 7:06 a.m. on September 13, 2026, on the southbound Highway 101, just south of the Hellyer Avenue on-ramp.
A white SUV and a possible sewage tanker were involved in the crash. The tanker ended up against the guardrail on the right-hand shoulder, where it appeared to be leaking blue sewage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and contained the leakage.
Minor injuries were reported in the accident. It was unclear if anyone was hospitalized.
Several traffic lanes, including the Hellyer Avenue on-ramp lanes leading to the southbound Highway 101, were closed following the crash.
