, CA.- Violet Owens Zamora, 25, of San Jose, has been identified as the pregnant woman who died in an accident in San Jose on Thursday evening, according to the County Medical Examiner's Office.

The incident took place on north of Bird Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. May 8.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Zamora was driving a green Honda Civic on the freeway when she lost control and drifted across all traffic lanes.

She then crashed into a Ford F-150 pickup and was ejected by the impact of the accident.

Authorities said Zamora and her unborn child died in the incident.

Two children in her vehicle, aged nearly 2 and 5 years, survived the accident.

Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
