At about 2:04 a.m. July 31, authorities responded to a call of an accident in the area of Lake Park Drive.

San Jacinto, CA – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on the Ramona Expressway in San Jacinto early Friday morning, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported.
At about 2:04 a.m. July 31, authorities responded to a call of an accident in the area of Lake Park Drive.
A vehicle reportedly hit a pedestrian walking in the area under unclear circumstances. Deputies were still working to find out the cause of the collision.
Deputies and emergency crews responded to the site of the collision and found an unresponsive victim.
Medics performed life-saving measures on the pedestrian but despite their efforts, the victim was declared deceased at the scene.
The pedestrian’s identity was not immediately released pending notification of the next-of-kin.
The involved driver waited for the authorities to arrive at the scene and was cooperative with law enforcement.
According to the authorities, alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played any role in the incident.
