According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred at around 9:48 p.m. on the southbound State Route 101 at Ellis Street.
Investigators revealed that a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle slammed into the back of a vehicle in the area for unknown reasons.
The rider was ejected and sustained severe injuries.
The unidentified motorcyclist was transported to a hospital for treatment.
