A black BMW sedan was reported overturned onto its roof, with the driver trapped inside.
San Diego, CA. – A fatal traffic collision involving three vehicles was reported Saturday night on Interstate 8 in San Diego.
The initial crash was reported at approximately 10:23 p.m., westbound Interstate 8, about half a mile east of Waring Road, and involved a Ford Fusion hitting a center divider wall.
CHP later confirmed that three vehicles were involved in the collision. A black BMW sedan was reported overturned onto its roof, with the driver trapped inside.
One person died in the incident. The identity of the deceased party was not immediately released.
It was not immediately clear if anyone else was injured in the crash.
The crash resulted in lane closures as crews worked at the scene. A SigAlert was issued shortly after midnight, and tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged vehicles.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
