Sacramento, CA — At least one person was killed after a vehicle struck a group of pedestrians who were standing along eastbound Highway 50 late Sunday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP said three people had exited a vehicle and were standing on the right shoulder after the vehicle experienced a blown-out tire when they were hit by a passing vehicle.
