Rosa Escobar Dead, 1 Critically Injured in 2-Vehicle Collision at Mojave Drive and 6th Street in Victorville

Victorville, CA – One person was killed and another one injured in a two-vehicle crash in Victorville on Friday, according to authorities.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner’s officials identified the deceased woman as Rosa Escobar, 47, of Victorville.

The deadly crash took place at around 4:20 a.m. September 19, at Mojave Drive and 6th street.

Investigators said a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck driven by Luis Nolasco, of Barstow, failed to stop and hit an eastbound Buick Lacrosse that had stopped at a stop sign.

Escobar was a passenger in the Buick and she died at the scene.

Escobar’s husband, the operator of the Buick, sustained critical injuries and was taken to a hospital.

Authorities said Nolasco was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
