Roger McMillan Killed in Petaluma Pedestrian Accident on Skillman Lane near Thompson Road

Petaluma, CA – The pedestrian who was fatally hit by a vehicle in Petaluma on Monday night has been identified as Roger McMillan, 84, of Petaluma, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office.

The crash took place on Skillman Lane near Thompson Road at about 8:20 p.m. March 25.

Authorities said McMillan was walking across the road to check on the mailbox when he was hit by a westbound Land Rover.

McMillan was killed in the crash.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene after the accident.

DUI was not suspected in the incident.

The crash is under investigation.
