Pacoima, California (July 24, 2023) – 35-year-old Robert Castellanos was the man who died in a multi-vehicle collision on the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway in Pacoima, according to the medical examiner’s office.

The accident happened at about 2:48 a.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway at the Golden State (5) Freeway.

Firefighters responded to the scene and used hydraulic tools to extricate Castellanos.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His city of residence was not mentioned.

The collision forced the closure of all eastbound lanes of the freeway for several hours.
