The fatal collision occurred at about 4:38 p.m. on 22nd Avenue at the intersection with Marshall Road near Desert Hot Springs, CHP reported.

Riverside County, CA – A man was killed and another was injured in a two-vehicle crash on 22nd Avenue in the unincorporated Sky Valley area on Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal collision occurred at about 4:38 p.m. on 22nd Avenue at the intersection with Marshall Road near Desert Hot Springs, CHP reported.
Authorities said a blue Toyota Camry, driven by a 35-year-old man, was traveling westbound on 22nd Avenue when it struck a green John Deere Gator that was also heading westbound along the right shoulder of the roadway.
The driver of the all-terrain utility vehicle, identified only as a 45-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. One person in the John Deere Gator sustained minor injuries but was not transported.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and conducted an on-site investigation following the collision.
The crash impacted traffic in the area as authorities worked to clear the scene and gather evidence.
The incident remains under investigation.
