Riverside, CA – At least one person was killed in a traffic collision including two adults and two babies on 215 Freeway in Riverside Sunday night.

The deadly wreck was reported at around 7:35 p.m. on the northbound Escondido Freeway south of Eucalyptus Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Reports revealed that a sedan and at least one other car were involved in the accident.

At around 8:05 p.m., the mother and two infants were transported to the hospital, and the Riverside firefighters were working to extricate the father from the wreckage.

The CHP reported the crash was fatal but did not indicate which patient or patients died.

Animal Control responded to take custody of a dog in the vehicle.

A SigAlert was issued at 8:06 p.m., shutting down all northbound lanes at Eucalyptus Avenue.

No additional information about the accident was provided.
