Preliminary information from CHP indicates that a white Ford Fusion and a gray Toyota Prius were involved in a crash that sent both vehicles off the highway. One of the cars came to rest in a nearby field, and another ended up in a ditch, with debris scattered on the roadway.
At least one male party was found lying on the ground by a passerby or responder. At least one person was seriously injured and transported for medical care.
