Authorities Investigating Deadly Collision on Red Hill Avenue and McCormick Avenue

Costa Mesa, CA. – A Los Angeles man was killed Thursday morning after being ejected from his vehicle during a two-car crash in Costa Mesa, authorities reported.

According to the police, the crash happened around 6:25 a.m. near Red Hill and McCormick avenues.

Rene Sanchez, 45, was turning left from McCormick Avenue when he collided with another vehicle traveling north on Red Hill Avenue.

Sanchez died at the spot.

The other driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The intersection was closed for about three hours.

The Costa Mesa Police Department is still investigating the cause of the accident.
