Redwood City, CA – Major Injuries Reported in Head-On Collision on SR-35 and Crazy Pete’s Rd

Redwood City, CA – At least one person sustained major injuries in a head-on collision that happened Friday evening at an intersection in Redwood City.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred around 7:18 p.m. on August 28, 2026, on State Route 35 at Crazy Pete’s Road.

A white SUV and another vehicle collided head-on, blocking the roadway in both directions of the roadway.

Authorities responded to the scene and found at least one person with major injuries. The patient was hospitalized in unknown condition.

A SigAlert was issued closing both southbound and northbound lanes of the highway. Motorists were advised to use alternative routes.

An investigation is ongoing to establish the cause of the accident.
