The two-vehicle collision happened at about 8:09 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Dinah Shore Drive and George Montgomery Way in Rancho Mirage.

Rancho Mirage, CA – A woman who was killed in a suspected DUI hit-and-run collision in Rancho Mirage Saturday morning has been identified, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The county coroner identified the deceased as 57-year-old Teresa Bowlin of Cathedral City.
The deadly collision occurred at about 8:09 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Dinah Shore Drive and George Montgomery Way in Rancho Mirage.
Deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station responded to reports of a traffic collision involving two vehicles. On arrival, the deputies found one of the drivers, later identified as Bowlin, suffering from life-threatening injuries. Authorities learned that the other driver involved had fled following the crash. Deputies later located the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Tyler Conant of Long Beach, and took him into custody without incident.
Bowlin was pronounced dead at the scene. During the investigation, authorities determined that Conant was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. He was later booked into the John Benoit Detention Center on suspicion of murder and felony hit-and-run.
Members of the Palm Desert Station’s Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation into the fatal Rancho Mirage crash.
The collision caused disruptions in the area around Dinah Shore Drive and George Montgomery Way while deputies conducted the on-scene investigation.
