According to authorities, the accident was reported just before 3 a.m. on June 18, 2026, on Route 66, also known as Portland-Cobalt Road.

Three People Hurt in Fiery Crash on Route 66 in Portland

Portland, OR – Three people were sent to the hospital after a fiery collision involving two cars that happened early Thursday morning in Portland.

According to New Haven Register, the accident was reported just before 3 a.m. on June 18, 2026, on Route 66, also known as Portland-Cobalt Road.

Two vehicles of unknown make and model collided for reasons still under investigation and caught fire. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage because of the crash and the fire. An Eversource utility pole was also damaged in the crash.

Two occupants in one of the vehicles and one occupant in the other car, sustained varying degrees of injuries. All were taken to Hartford Hospital in stable condition.

Police officers are investigating the accident.
