Pomona, CA – Jennifer Loera-Zarco, 25, was among two people who died after a police chase ended in a crash Wednesday night at a Pomona intersection.

At around 9:30 p.m. on April 1, officers responded to E. Tenth Street after receiving reports of a domestic violence incident.
As officers were speaking with the victim, the suspect returned in a black Dodge pickup truck and slammed into a parked patrol car, before taking off.
This propmted the officers start a chase that ended when the Dodge crashed into another vehicle at the Garey Avenue and County Road intersection. The second car was occupied by pregnant Loera-Zarco and her boyfriend.
Crews with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene shortly after and pronounced both Loera-Zarco and her boyfriend deceased at the scene.
Debris was spread across the roadway and a silver Ford sedan is also believed to have been involved in the incident.
According to the report, the suspect was arrested on multiple charges including vehicular manslaughter, driving without a valid license, assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, DUI, and felony evasion, along with fire-arm related charges. The incident remains under investigation.
