Polk County, OR – One person was killed following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 22 in Rickreall late Saturday night, according to the Oregon State Police (OSP).

According to OSP's preliminary investigation, Eduardo Carrillo Jiminez, 42, of Lebanon, was driving a Chrysler Town and Country van westbound on Highway 22 when, for some reason, the van left the roadway between the Highway 223 exit and Highway 22 before rolling and ejecting the driver.
Eduardo Jiminez was declared deceased at the scene. No other occupants or injuries were reported, and authorities did not report any arrests related to the single-vehicle crash.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, and Oregon State Police continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the vehicle leaving the roadway.
OSP troopers responded to the scene and were assisted by the Polk County Sheriff's Office during the on-scene investigation and traffic control efforts.
Highway 22 was impacted for approximately four hours as emergency personnel conducted the investigation and worked to clear the roadway, resulting in traffic disruptions in the area.
The Polk County crash remains under investigation by the Oregon State Police as officials work to determine contributing factors.
