Scottsdale, AZ.– A police officer was injured in a collision with a suspected DUI motorist in Scottsdale on Saturday night, according to the authorities.

The incident happened near Scottsdale Road and Virginia Avenue at about 10:20 p.m. August 2.

A driver reportedly crashed into an unoccupied police vehicle.

The impact pushed the Patrol car into the rear of another police car.

An officer in the second police vehicle was treated for minor injuries.

Authorities said impairment was suspected to have played a role in the incident.

The driver who caused the crash, identified as Jensen Borkowski, 28, was booked into jail on suspicion of DUI.

The incident is under investigation.
