According to investigators, multiple vehicles were involved in the wreck in the westbound lanes of Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway
Tempe, AZ– Injuries were reported in a rollover collision on Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway in Tempe on Monday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The wreck took place near Scottsdale Road at around 7:30 a.m. February 2.
According to investigators, multiple vehicles were involved in the wreck in the westbound lanes of Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway. The impact caused one of the vehicles to roll over.
Authorities did not specify the events leading up to the accident. The vehicles came to a rest blocking multiple lanes of the freeway.
Emergency personnel were called to the scene to provide aid to the involved persons and clear the scene.
Authorities reported minor injuries in the incident. It’s unclear how many people were hurt and whether anyone needed to be transported to a hospital.
According to Arizona Department of Transportation, the crash disrupted traffic in the westbound lanes of the freeway. All but the HOV lane were blocked and were reopened shortly after. The eastbound lanes were not affected by the incident.
