Phoenix, AZ – One person died, and two others were injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Tuesday morning near an intersection in Phoenix.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the accident took place around 11:45 a.m. on June 9, 2026, near 27th Avenue and Indian School Road, just west of Interstate 17.

A man who was critically injured was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Two other adults were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities detained a man at the scene on suspicion of impairment.
