Tobler was driving a van that collided with a semi-truck under unclear circumstances.
First responders found Tobler unresponsive in the van. The man was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
The big rig driver was also hospitalized as a precaution.
Reportedly, the van failed to yield and turned left in front of the big rig, leading to the collision.

Phoenix, AZ – A man died in a traffic collision involving a semi-truck that happened Monday morning at an intersection in West Phoenix.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the crash was reported around 6 a.m. June 15, 2026, at 25th Avenue and Buckeye Road, just west of Interstate 17.
A white van and a red semi-truck were involved in the accident.
Phoenix police officers and firefighters responded to the scene and found the van’s driver unresponsive. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the semi-truck was also hospitalized as a precaution.
The man driving the van is believed to have made an improper turn, leading to the accident.
The intersection remained closed in all directions during the investigation.
