Pete Castillo Hurt in Deadly in Tulare County Crash on Road 144 near Highway 201
Tulare County, California (April 11, 2022) – 67-year-old Pete Castillo was hurt in a deadly car accident that took place in Tulare County on Thursday evening, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident took place on Road 144, north of Highway 201 at around 4:56 p.m. April 7.
According to the report, a 41-year-old man was driving a 2007 Honda southbound on Road 144 when he drifted into the opposing lanes and crashed head-on into a northbound 2001 Honda driven by Castillo.
The southbound driver was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI and transported to Kaweah Health Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased at 9 p.m.
Castillo was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
The California Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the incident.
