According to the authorities, a 2024 Chevy Trailblazer SUV was traveling eastbound on Highway 49 when it struck a 16-year-old pedestrian walking in the crosswalk
Sonora, CA – A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle in Sonora on Friday evening, according to the Sonora Police Department.
The incident was reported at around 5:20 p.m. November 7, on Highway 49 near Southgate Drive.
According to the authorities, a 2024 Chevy Trailblazer SUV was traveling eastbound on Highway 49 when it struck a 16-year-old pedestrian walking in the crosswalk.
The victim was flown to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
