Modesto, CA. – A woman in a wheelchair died after being struck by a vehicle Thursday night on Yosemite Boulevard, according to the Modesto Police Department.
The crash happened around 8:45 p.m. west of Santa Cruz Avenue, when a Toyota Tacoma hit the woman as she traveled on the roadway.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with major injuries and died Friday morning, officials said.
The Modesto PD Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the incident.
