At around 6 a.m., authorities were notified of a car accident near 59th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
A car driver struck a pedestrian and left the scene before authorities arrived.
Police said the victim, who sustained critical injuries, was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Roads were shut down in the area as authorities investigated the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
