Man Killed in South Sacramento Pedestrian Crash on Sheldon Road and Butterscotch Way

Sacramento, CA.- A male adult pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in south Sacramento on Monday evening, according to the Sacramento police.

Authorities responded to reports of an auto-pedestrian collision at the intersection of Sheldon Road and Butterscotch Way at around 6:30 p.m. November 3.

According to the report, a man was hit by a vehicle near the intersection. It’s unclear what led up to the accident.

Emergency crews performed CPR on the victim but were unsuccessful.

The man died at the scene.

The victim’s identity was not released pending notification of the next-of-kin.

The driver was at the scene when the authorities arrived.

The Sacramento Police Department is working to determine the cause of the accident.
