A 64-year-old man was walking west across El Camino Real in the crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle

Mountain View, CA.- Authorities are investigating an auto-pedestrian accident that left one person with major injuries on Sunday night in Mountain View.
According to the Mountain View Police Department, the accident occurred on West El Camino Real and Miramonte Avenue at about 9:50 p.m. August 31.
A 64-year-old man was walking west across El Camino Real in the crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle.
The victim was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI causing bodily injury and was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
