Pacific Beach, CA.- A pedestrian was struck and injured by a vehicle in Pacific Beach on Wednesday evening, according to a report by the San Diego Police Department.
The accident took place in the 2500 block of Grand Avenue on Wednesday, September 10.
According to police, a 39-year-old man was walking north across Grand Avenue outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a westbound blue Toyota Prius.
The pedestrian was transported to a hospital with critical injuries.
The driver, a 48-year-old woman, stayed at the scene after the accident.
Alcohol was not suspected to have played a role in the incident.
The San Diego Police Department is conducting an investigation into the collision.
