Los Angeles, CA.- A was injured in a crash involving a hit-and-run driver in the Pico Union neighborhood early Monday morning.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the accident occurred on West Pico Boulevard near Bonnie Brae Street at around 3:30 a.m.

Police said a pedestrian was hit by a driver who continued traveling westbound on Pico Boulevard after the crash.

Medics transported the pedestrian to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Police believe the suspect was driving a white or gray Kia.

The accident caused the closure of Pico Boulevard as authoritities investigated the crash.
