Santa Ana, CA.- A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Santa Ana on Monday evening, according to a report by the Santa Ana Police Department.
The accident occurred on 17th Street near Tustin Avenue at about 7:34 p.m. August 25.
According to the police, a male adult was walking across 17th Street from the south side to the north when he was hit by an eastbound vehicle.
The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The Santa Ana Police Department is conducting an investigation into the collision.
