Man Critically Injured in Orange Pedestrian Crash on Batavia Street and Struck Avenue
Orange, California (April 11, 2022) – A man who was walking across a street in Orange was struck and injured by a vehicle on Thursday morning, according to the Orange Police Department.
The crash occurred on Struck Avenue and Batavia Street at around 6:48 a.m. on April 7.
Police said a Toyota pickup truck driver was heading east on Struck Avenue when he made a turn north at the intersection of Batavia Street and collided with a pedestrian who was in the crosswalk.
The pedestrian reportedly sustained major injuries in the accident. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.

The involved driver remained at the scene after the accident.
Alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors in the incident.
All lanes of Batavia Street were closed for nearly three hours as authorities investigated the incident.
The Orange Police Department is conducting an investigation into the collision.
