Yakima, WA.- A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Yakima on Friday morning, according to the Yakima Police Department.
The incident took place in the 100 block of South 2nd Street at around 1:40 a.m. October 17.
According to the authorities, officers responded to the scene and located a victim at a parking lot.
The officers and medics performed life-saving measures on the victim but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The victim was only identified as a 28-year-old man.
Police identified a 29-year-old man as the driver involved in the incident and arrested him.
He was booked into Yakima County Jail on a charge of vehicular homicide.
The incident is under investigation by the Yakima Police Department.
